NOTE: PLEASE READ ALL THE INFORMATION BELOW BEFORE PURCHASING YOUR MEMBERSHIP How does payment work? You pay a one-time fee upfront for membership, and we accept cash, check, PayPal, and credit cards (via PayPal). To get your spot, fill out this form (text will be re-linked when registration opens), and then send us payment according to the instructions you see after you hit "submit." Payment must be received within one week to retain your spot. Membership is limited to a set number of spots and sells out quickly. What are the delivery options? At registration, you can choose one of two options:
LOCAL PICK-UP. Choose this option ONLY if you can pick up your Cup Club items IN PERSON in Harrisonburg, Virginia.
SHIPPING. Choose this option if you are unable to pick up your piece in person and require your items to be shipped.
When are cups made available? You will receive a cup roughly once every three months in February, May, August, and November. We will notify you as pickup/shipping time approaches, and we will advise you if, for any reason, there is a delay. Please understand we work to be timely and stick to our schedule, however unanticipated circumstances may cause the quarter’s delivery to be delayed. How does local pickup work? When cups are ready, we'll email you a Cup Club Pickup email that includes pickup date and location. Note the following:
Cups will be available for pick up for one week.
Pickups will be at Kassy Newman's studio at Larkin Arts (61 Court Square, Harrisonburg, VA), and will be available during Larkin business hours (Mon-Fri 11-7, Sat & Sun 12-5). We will remind you of the pickup location and hours in the Cup Club Pickup email.
We will email you a reminder a couple of days before the end of the pickup window.
If you are unable to pick up your cup during the pickup window, please contact me (ros.obrien.ceramics@gmail.com) to make other arrangements. We can arrange to ship your item and you will need to pay a shipping and handling invoice.
If you forget to pick up your cup, we will contact you regarding shipping your piece.
If your cup remains unclaimed for two weeks after the pickup window, and we have not received communication from you to arrange for shipment, we can no longer guarantee your cup availability or delivery.
How does shipping work? Shipping and handling will be invoiced separately each time. Note the following:
Cup shipment within the US generally varies from $7-15, depending on how far the item is traveling. There will also be a $5 handling fee per cup to cover shipping materials and time.
For each Cup Club shipment, we will send you an invoice for shipping and handling, payable online. Cups are shipped after the invoice is paid.
We use recycled materials and ship via USPS priority mail. Priority Mail includes tracking and insurance.
Hand-made pottery is fragile, requires lots of packaging, and can be heavy. We pack and ship pieces as safely as we can while keeping shipping costs as low as possible.
International shipping is available and you will be invoiced for shipping and handling as with domestically shipped items. International shipping rates are significantly higher, the destination country may require a customs fee which will be your responsibility. There is also an increased risk of damage during transit due to the longer journey.
What are the care instructions? Each cup will come with care instructions from its creator. Generally speaking, however, pieces are microwave and dishwasher safe. That said we strongly encourage you to limit microwave and dishwasher use; limiting such use will support the longevity of the piece.
